Government College of Arts Science and Commerce Khandola defeated Rosary College of Commerce & Arts by 55 runs in the Goa University’s annual inter-collegiate cricket women’s championship 2023-24, at Goa University cricket ground, Taleigao.
The toss was won by Khandola college who elected to bat.
They posted 114/3 in 10 overs. Simran Naik 21(20) and Jiya Naik 18(19) were the top scorers of the innings. Kismat Chauhan (1/21) was the most economical with her bowling.
In reply, Rosary College of Commerce & Arts were restricted to 59/3 in 10 overs.
Mamta Kumari 8(20) was the lone scorer who stood out for Rosary College. Sanjana Palkar (1/10) was decent with the bowling for Khandola College.
In the second match, MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar defeated Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao by five wickets.
The toss was won by Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao who opted to bat first.
Shree Damodar college of Commerce & Economics, Margao put up 68/2 in 10 overs.
Maishree Bandodkar 17(24) was the top scorer of the innnings. Pooja Yadav (1/10) was able to contain the opposition for MES College.
In reply, MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar chased the target which ended in a thriller.
Harshada Kadam 36*(27) and Anisha Harmalkar 10(21) ochestrated the chase for MES College. Uma Pandit (2/08) was the star bowler with commendable figures for Shree Damodar College.
