Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem, emerged as champions of the U-19 Zone IV football tournament after defeating Government Higher Secondary School, Canacona, 1-0. The final match was held at the Borimol Sports Complex ground in Quepem, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Both teams showcased impressive skills throughout the match. After a scoreless first half, Guardian Angel's striker Anthefa netted the decisive goal with a well-placed shot to the right side of the goal near the end of the game.
In the semi-finals, Guardian Angel HSS advanced by overcoming Pope John XXIII HSS, Quepem, in a tense penalty shootout, winning 3-2, while Government HSS defeated S.S. Angle HSS, Canacona, with a score of 1-0.
