Host team Mandopa Sporting Club put on a dominant display to defeat USC Seraulim 3–0 and secure a place in the semifinals of the 1st Late Antonio Colaco Memorial Football Tournament, organized by Mandopa SC and played at the Rosary Church Ground, Navelim, on Monday.
Mandopa took control early in the match, with Noah Luis opening the scoring in the 14th minute through a well-placed shot that left the Seraulim goalkeeper with no chance.
The hosts doubled their lead in the 32nd minute, when Antonio D’Silva latched onto a well-timed through pass from Ronaldo, and coolly chipped the ball over the advancing goalkeeper to make it 2–0.
In the 48th minute, Noah Luis returned to the scoresheet, completing his brace with a clinical finish to put the game beyond reach at 3–0.
Despite USC Seraulim’s efforts to mount a comeback, their forwards were repeatedly denied — either by the Mandopa defense, their own inaccuracy, or key saves by the Mandopa goalkeeper.
For his outstanding performance, Noah Luis was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Damaciano, a member of the organizing club.
