Parish Youth Nuvem secured a 2-1 victory over United Club of Verna in the GFA Third Division League at Verna Panchayat Ground on Monday.
The first half ended goalless, but Parish Youth dominated the game after the break, putting pressure on their opponents. Shenoy Colaco broke the deadlock in the 58th minute, and Meislem Baretto extended the lead in the 80th minute.
United Club of Verna fought back late, with Dadapeer Patil converting a penalty in stoppage time (90+1) to reduce the deficit, but it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat.
In another match, St Anthony's Sports Club and United Club of Seraulim played out a 1-1 draw.
