A brilliant brace by Roydon Rego powered Rossman Cruz Nagoa to a commanding 4–1 victory over Arlem Youth Association at Varca, sending them into the quarterfinals of the Varca Panchayat Cup, organised by Varca Sports Club on Monday.
Rossman Cruz Nagoa led 3–1 at halftime.
Roydon opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with a fine header. In the 9th minute, a handball by Josly Fernandes resulted in a penalty, which Achilles Fernandes converted with a composed finish, leaving Rossman keeper Andrus John with no chance as the score was levelled at 1–1.
Roydon then struck again to complete his brace and restore the lead. In the 19th minute, Ajay Satarkar added a third for Rossman Cruz. The final goal came in the 42nd minute, when Josly Fernandes unleashed a powerful shot to seal the 4–1 win for Rossman Cruz Nagoa.
Roydon Rego was named Man of the Match.
