Anaya Shukla, Aarna Walavalkar, Sanaz Siham Shaikh and Shaurya Dessai powered their way into the Girls U11 semi-finals on an exciting day of action at the Late Manohar Sawkar Goa State Table Tennis Tournament 2025, held at the Multipurpose Stadium, Fatorda.
Top seed Anaya set the tone with a clinical 3-0 win over Radha Dessai, while Aarna showcased great touch to overcome fourth seed Tvisha Kotkar 3-1. Sanaz recovered to defeat Claire Ann George 3-1 in a hard-fought match, and second seed Shaurya joined the last-four lineup with a solid 3-1 victory over seventh seed Tasha Mascarenhas.
In the Boys U13 quarterfinals, top seed Ruhaan Shaikh looked in fine rhythm as he beat Ashank Dalvi 3-0, while Ishaan Colaso (5) recovered brilliantly after losing the opening game to get past fourth seed Yuvaan Sanke 3-1. Yug Prabhu (3) recorded a dominant 3-0 win over sixth seed Kavish Dalvi, and second seed Vedant Wagle sealed the final semi-final berth with a commanding 3-0 victory over Kaushik Nair.
Earlier, Nathan D’Souza, Kedar Nair, Symeon Ferrao, Arnav Naryaal, Aarish Shaikh, Shreysht Rane, Arha Sahakari, and Noel Kurian bowed out in Boys U13 Round of 16.
