Sao Jose de Areal SC edge past Cuncolim Union 2–1 to book their place in the quarterfinals of the 20th Velim Panchayat Cup Football Tournament, organised by SWC Zaino, Velim, at the Velim Church ground.
The teams were tied 1–1 at half-time before Areal edged ahead in the second half. Priston and David were on target for Sao Jose de Areal, while Wilson netted the lone goal for Cuncolim Union. Bersal Viegas of Sao Jose de Areal SC was adjudged Man of the Match.
