VALPOI
The students of Sriram Vidyalaya, Khadki, Sattari, achieved remarkable success in the Sattari Taluka Athletics Competition held at Parye ground. The school's students won two gold medals, three silver medals, and one bronze medal in the 14-year-old category, securing third place overall.
In the 14-year-old girls' category, Rasika Gauda won gold medals in the 100m and 200m races, as well as in the high jump event. In the 17-year-old category, Vithoba Rane won silver medals in shot put and discus throw. Sujata Malshekar won a silver medal in the 200m race and a bronze medal in the 600m race.
The students' success is attributed to the coaching and guidance provided by Physical Education teacher Vinod Piranakar. The school's principal, Shivaji Desai, and the chairman of the Sriram Education Society, Namdev Rane.
The competition was organised by the Goa Sports and Youth Affairs Department and was attended by around 800 students from 25 schools in Sattari taluka. The competition was held over two days.
