United Boys of Ambaulim booked their place in the final of the United Trophy football tournament after defeating CRC Chinchinim 3–0 in the second semifinal played at the Rosary Church ground, Navelim, on Sunday. The tournament is organised by United Club of Telaulim.

Ambaulim opened the scoring when Mathew Fernandes delivered a through pass to Alex Fernandes, who raced past the defence and goalkeeper before calmly placing the ball into the net.

CRC Chinchinim soon created a chance to equalise when Shario Gomes sent a cross into the box, but Larson Rebello failed to connect. Ambaulim then doubled their lead through Sowell Fernandes. Chinchinim had further opportunities before halftime but Larson Rebello failed to reduce the deficit, leaving Ambaulim comfortably ahead 2–0 at the break.

After the restart, Chinchinim stepped up their attack but were unable to find the back of the net despite efforts from Nigel Viegas, Shario Gomes and Seagmond Rebello. Ambaulim sealed the victory when Sowell Fernandes struck again with a neat finish to make it 3–0 and confirm their place in the final.

United Boys of Ambaulim will now face Betalbatim Sporting Club in the final on Sunday, March 22, at 4.30 pm.

Sowell Fernandes of United Boys Ambaulim was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Walter Cabral.
