The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) has announced the Goa U-16 boys’ squad for the upcoming Vijay Merchant Trophy, scheduled to be held in Raipur from December 7 to December 31, 2025. Vinit Kamat will lead the 18-member squad.
Squad List – Goa U-16 Boys (Vijay Merchant Trophy 2025): Vinit Kamat, Adeep Prabhu Miskin, Jaden Pereira, Sairaj Govekar, Vishesh Behl, Shaunak Teli, Uzair Shaikh, Ashutosh Shetty, Arnav Naik, Anuraag Bahadur, Sankalp Naik, Mrunal Naik, Sarang Govekar, Harsh Nain, Rish Pawaskar, Aryan Bhonsle, Swaraj Desai, Ishant Tivrekar
The squad announcement was made in the presence of GCA President and former Ranji player Mahesh Dessai, Secretary Tulshidas Shetye, Treasurer Abdul Majid, Joint Secretary Anant Naik, and Head Coach Pritam Gandhe. Junior Selection Committee Chairman Sahil Dhuri and committee members Abrar Khan, Damodar Kitlekar, Vinay Palekar, and Chandrakant Ghadi were also present.
Addressing the occasion, GCA President Mahesh Dessai said the young squad represents the future of Goan cricket and emphasized the importance of the Vijay Merchant Trophy as a platform for grooming emerging players. He expressed confidence that the team would display discipline, determination, and fighting spirit.
The GCA extended its best wishes to the squad as the players prepare to represent Goa in the prestigious national tournament.
