In an exciting showdown at the Artificial Turf Ground in Fatorda, Bengaluru FC triumphed over Salgaocar FC 3-0 in the Vedanta U-15 Youth Cup on Sunday.
Givenson Suting of Bengaluru FC broke the deadlock in the 8th minute. Suting then turned provider, assisting S Chinmay, who scored in the 17th minute, 2-0. In the 47th minute, Manav Gowda of Bengaluru FC sealed the deal with a third goal, securing a convincing 3-0 victory.
Banda-1, Mulleavaddo/Bainfoll advance
Bairo Premeiro/Bainaque and Tarivaddo-1 played out a 1-1 in the Regina Martyrum Parish Cup 2023 inter-ward 5-a-side league cum knockout football tournament organised by Regina Martyrum Parish for the villagers of Assolna and Ambelim at Assolna Church ground, on Sunday.
For Tarivaddo-1, Raydon D’Silva scored in the 12th minute. Keegan Mascarenhas equalised in the 24th minute. Keegan Mascarenhas was named the Man-of-the-match. Banda-1 booked their place in the semifinal from Group D with four points.
Earlier, Banda-1 edged past Bairo Premeiro/Bainaque by a solitary goal through Clifton Almeida in the 5th minute. Clifton was awarded the Man-of-the-match prize.
In another match, Pedda and Mulleavaddo/Bainfoll played out a 2-2 draw. For Mulleavaddo/Bainfoll, Cahill Diniz and Crossley Luis scored in the 6th and 25th minutes respectively. For Pedda, Samson Fernandes and Lester scored in the 10th and 21st minutes respectively.
The Man-of-the-match prize was awarded to Crossley Luis. Mulleavaddo/Bainfoll moved to the semifinals with a superior goal difference.
V Dempo HSS clinch inter-zonal tennikoit title
