The Passport Office Goa on Friday launched a Mobile Passport Van aimed at improving citizens' access to passport services.
The Passport Van was flagged off by Regional Passport Officer Nijo Varghese at the Passport Office, Panaji.
The van is designed to strengthen last-mile connectivity and ensure seamless access to passport-related services, especially in remote and underserved areas of Goa.
Varghese emphasized the importance of outreach and accessibility stating that the initiative will bridge the gap between passport office and applicants.
“The Mobile Passport Van is part of our commitment to bringing Passport services closer to the people. With this step, we aim to bridge the gap between the passport office and applicants who face difficulties in reaching us due to geographical or mobility challenges," he said.
The van is equipped to facilitate key services such as application submission, document verification, and biometric data collection. The RPO said that scheduled visits to talukas and villages will be announced in advance to ensure maximum participation.
"This citizen-centric initiative is aligned with the Ministry of External Affairs’ vision of providing convenient, transparent, and efficient passport services to every corner of the country," he added.
