Bodybuilding team selections at Navelim

Indian Bodybuilding Federation commenced its team selection process on Saturday at Manohar Parrikar indoor stadium, Navelim.

Around 300 bodybuilders from across India participated in the selection test process and 200 more have already arrived and started their practice sessions.

Six candidates out of these athletes are Goans who will participate in the selection test. The final team selection process will be completed by Sunday, June 4.

The selected Indian team will play in upcoming games/tournaments from July 5 to 9 in Nepal for the 13th South Asian Physique Bodybuilding Competition and 4th World Bodybuilding Games at Sol from November 6-12.

Kaykee Youth Club football camp concludes
Kaykee Youth Club, Dongorim Majorda, concluded its 40-day Annual Summer Football Coaching Camp, which was held during the summer vacation.

In all, 25 boys (U-15) attended the camp which was overseen by Joaquim Crasto, FC Goa scout, Lynet Vaz, GFDC coach, Avertano Baretto, Johnson D'Souza, DSYA coach, and Serverinho Fernandes, SAG coach alongwith Anjulo P Fernandes, ex-national football referee.

The boys were guided in various techniques and skills to promote their basic football abilities. Also, some exhibition matches were played as a part of game exposure experience. The trainees received kits and prizes for their outstanding performance and attendence.

Addison Periera was declared as the most promising trainee while Garreth Fernandes was awarded as up-and-coming trainee. All others were given special gifts by the club.

Football championship held at St Cruz

PANAJI: Mummy's Goa Helping Hands & Come And Play Football Coaching Centre organised All India Academic Football Championship at St Cruz village ground for U18 & U12 boys recently.

Ten academies participated -- CAPFCC Goa, United Studz Hyderabad, CFA Kerala, FLA Mumbai, Pune SC, Delhi SA, Lifeco Kerala, CSSC Pune. At the prize distribution MLA Rudolfo L Fernandes & Tushar Bhagat (CAPFCC Head). U18 champions CFA Kerala 3-0 & U12 LIFECO Kerala 2-0 Of 2022-23. CAPFCC Goa were runner-up in both the category.
