Carmel Boys Curtorim edged past hosts Rebello Pandal Maina 1-0 in a thrilling final to lift the 18th Rebello Pandal Trophy at the St Rita Church ground on Sunday.

Organised by Rebello Pandal Maina under the leadership of Angelius Rebello, the final saw a goalless first half filled with end-to-end action.

Carmel Boys dominated the second half, launching a series of attacks before Alland netted the winner in the 56th minute. Rebello Pandal Maina had a chance to equalise, but Cyril missed a crucial opportunity in the 60th minute.

The semi-finalists were Dragon FC and Gantamorod FC.

Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco was the chief guest and distributed the prizes to the winners and runners-up. He was joined by Fr Dominic Vaz, Parish Priest of St Rita Church, Mahesh Gawali (Assistant Coach of the Indian National Team and former international), Savio Fernandes, Jacob Athaide, Conceciao Dias, Angeliius Rebello, and other dignitaries and club officials.

Individual Awards: Best Goalkeeper of the Final – Dylan (Carmel Boys Curtorim), Best Defender of the Final – Delmon (Carmel Boys Curtorim), Best Half of the Final – Allywn (Rebello Pandal Maina), First Scorer of the Final – Alland (Carmel Boys Curtorim), Best Player of the Final – Cyril (Rebello Pandal Maina), Man of the Match – Allywn Faria (Rebello Pandal Maina), Best Disciplined Team – St Rita Boys, Upcoming Player of the Tournament – Cain (Michon Warriors), Best Half of the Tournament – Allywn (Raymond Dragon FC)
