City jerseys unveiled ahead of November tournament

The much-anticipated Goan Premier League (GPL) 2025 has been officially announced, marking the return of one of Goa’s most exciting city-based cricket tournaments. Scheduled to take place on November 16 at the AKW Cricket Ground in the UAE, the tournament will feature top cricketing talent representing six cities across Goa.
The announcement event also featured the unveiling of the official city jerseys, attended by all team owners and members of the GPL Technical Committee.
In addition to the tournament details, the GPL Technical Committee revealed key appointments for the upcoming season. Shaikh Yakub (Murad) has been named the GPL Commissioner, while Shakil Rajguru takes charge as Director Technical. Tousif Jamadar has been appointed as the Official GPL Ambassador. Together, these leaders bring immense experience, leadership, and passion for Goan cricket, ensuring that GPL 2025 will set new standards for professionalism and entertainment in regional cricket.
The six participating teams and their owners include Margao (Tanvir Sadekar), Vasco (Yakub Sayed & Asif Aga), Mapusa (Israr Shaikh), Valpoi (Sameer Shaikh), Sanguem (Aslam Shaikh & Rizwan Shah), and Navelim (Javeed Shaikh).
Ahead of the main event, the players draft, auction, and trophy unveiling are scheduled for November 2. The tournament is being professionally managed by Petromann Event Management, promising a seamless and exciting season.
