Dunes SC booked their place in the semi-finals of the Nerul Cup 2025, organized by Nerul Sports Club, with a solid 2–0 victory over Candolim SC.
The match began with Candolim SC displaying an aggressive attacking approach, dominating ball possession and pressing high up the field. However, against the run of play, Dunes SC took the lead in the 25th minute through an own goal by Anuj, who mistakenly turned the ball into his own net while attempting to clear it under pressure.
In the second half, Dunes SC regrouped and asserted control over the game. Their dominance paid off in the 48th minute when Omkar Shetgaonkar doubled the lead with a well-taken goal. Despite Candolim SC's efforts to find a way back into the match, Dunes SC’s defense stood firm and denied any chances.
Omkar Shetgaonkar was named Man of the Match for his impactful performance and goal that sealed the win for Dunes SC.
