Snows Football Academy advanced to the South Goa District final of the GFA U-17 Division II League with an impressive 3–1 victory over Cansaulim Arossim Cuelim Sports & Social Club in a semi-final clash on Monday.
The teams were level at half-time, but Snows FA pulled away with a dominant second-half performance.
Cansaulim struck first in the 14th minute when Shawn Carvalho capitalized on a goalkeeper error with a clinical finish. However, Snows FA quickly regrouped and equalized in the 37th minute through Samuel Colaco.
Buoyed by the equalizer, Snows intensified their attacks in the second half. Their persistence paid off in the 72nd minute as Messi Rebello slotted home to give his side the lead. Just a minute later, Samuel Colaco struck again, completing his brace and sealing the match.
Anthony Pango, President of Snows Football Academy, praised the team’s performance: "I'm very happy for our boys. The players put in an incredible effort. We faced a strong opponent, and it was a great match."
