Goa Police SC delivered an authoritative performance to outplay Bidesh XI SC in their Goa Relegation league fixture.

The breakthrough came midway through the opening half when Madan Pomburphekhar released Mayuresh Naik with a well-weighted pass. Spotting the Bidesh goalkeeper off his line, Naik took advantage of the space and calmly placed the ball into the net.

As the half drew to a close, Goa Police shifted gears and struck twice in quick succession. Mayuresh Naik doubled the lead during stoppage time with a composed finish before Pomburphekhar again played a decisive role, this time setting up Kunal Salgaonkar who made no mistake from close range to give the Police side a comfortable cushion at the break.

The tempo remained firmly in Goa Police’s favour after the restart. A crowded moment inside the box eventually fell kindly to Mayuresh Naik, who reacted sharply to steer the ball home and complete his hat-trick. Soon after Anant Gad launched a long delivery into the area which Gauresh Desai met confidently with a header to add another to the tally.

The scoring was wrapped up when Salgaonkar turned provider again, picking out Vaibhav Naik with a precise ball that the forward guided into the net capping a dominant outing for Goa Police against Bidesh XI.
