Goa University will conduct pre-screening selection trials for its Pencak Silat Men’s team on February 18, as part of preparations for the AIU All India Inter-University Championship 2025-26.
The university team is scheduled to participate in the All India Pencak Silat (Men) Inter-University Championship to be held at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, from March 9 to 13.
According to a notification issued by the Sports Section, the pre-screening trials will be held at 3 pm at the Silver Jubilee Hall, Goa University campus, Taleigao. Interested students have been asked to report at the venue sharp at 3.00 p.m. along with their college identity card, Aadhaar card, birth certificate and playing kit to be considered for selection.
Colleges, institutions and university schools have been requested to inform their eligible athletes about the trials. They have also been advised to notify the Sports Section via email at sports@unigoa.ac.in
if any of their Pencak Silat players are unable to attend the selection trials on the scheduled date, stating the reason for their absence so that it may be considered during the pre-screening process.
