MARGAO: The Goans Hockey Association will hold selection trials on February 20 for the Goa team that will compete in the 16th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women’s National Championship 2026.
The trials will take place at the Peddem Sports Complex from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
The selected squad will represent Goa at the national championship scheduled from April 1 to 12, 2026, at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Girls born on or after January 1, 2010 are eligible to participate. Players must report at the venue with full playing kit along with their birth certificate or Hockey India card and contact Eliter Fernandes on arrival.
Goans Hockey secretary Farrel Furtado e Gracias has urged all eligible players to attend the trials and seize the opportunity to earn a place in the state team.
