Goa's Madar Basappa delivered a match-defining bowling performance as India Legends registered a thumping 104-run victory over Hong Kong in a League match of the Asian Legend Cup 2026 . With this commanding win India has entered the final of the tournament.
After opting to bat first, India Legends piled up a massive 240 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs, riding on aggressive batting from Bhanu Seth, Parminder and Amer Khan. The huge total left Hong Kong with an uphill task, and it was Madar Basappa who ensured there was no comeback.
The Goan all-rounder produced a superb spell of 4 overs, 3 wickets for just 17 runs, emerging as the most economical and effective bowler of the match. Bowling with excellent control and variation, Madar struck at crucial moments to break the backbone of Hong Kong's chase.

Madar then delivered another decisive blow by stumping Iftikhar, effectively halting Hong Kong’s momentum. Hong Kong eventually folded for 136 in 20 overs, never recovering from the damage inflicted by Madar Basappa and the disciplined Indian bowling unit.

India Legends started this tournament with a 6 wicket win over Sri Lanka. India than thrashed arch rivals Pakistan by 77 runs followed by a win against Bangladesh by 12 runs.
