Hockey India has appointed Goa’s Anosha D’Souza as a technical official for the 15th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship, to be held in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, from August 1 to August 12.
Goa has been placed in Group A alongside Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Jammu & Kashmir, and Tripura. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
Anosha D’Souza, a former hockey player herself, has been actively involved in officiating across the Junior, Sub-Junior, and Senior categories. Over the years, she has gained valuable experience officiating in various domestic and national-level tournaments.
As a technical official, her responsibilities include ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of matches. She works in coordination with umpires, team managers, and technical benches to make sure games are played according to official rules and regulations. Her duties also involve managing game time, recording match events, and overseeing player conduct on and off the field.
