The Sarsangan Priority Super Series Cricket 2026 was inaugurated in grand fashion at the Arlem Cricket Ground by eminent businessman and social worker Dr Ketan Bhatikar and Narayan Walawalkar of Fluid and Power Automations LLP. The opening day witnessed a thrilling double-header, with Priority Titans and CD Fountainheads registering emphatic victories to set the tone for the tournament.
In the opening encounter, Priority Titans, owned by Swapneel Prabhu Nachinolkar and Dinesh Pai, outclassed FPA MaxVolt XI with a massive 120-run win and a bonus point. Sent in to bat, the Titans got off to a blazing start as Durgesh Prabhugaonkar (36) and Adv. Sahish Mahambrey (22) raced to 43 in just two overs. Amith Kamat (34) and Animesh Prabhugaonkar (33 not out) powered the side to a formidable 201 for 6 in 20 overs.
FPA MaxVolt XI, owned by Anurag Walawalkar, struggled in reply and were bundled out for 81. Saish Hegde (20) and Shiraj Pai Khot (19) were the only batters to reach double figures. Amit Kamat (3/19), Animesh Prabhugaonkar (2/9) and Nimay Kamat (2/14) starred with the ball. Amith Kamat was named Man of the Match.
The second match saw CD Fountainheads, owned by Chirag Datta Naik and Vishwesh Kare, secure a six-wicket win over debutants Progressive Ponda. Progressive Ponda posted a competitive 179 for 6, with Pratham Kossambe (37) and Venktesh Prabhu Verlekar (36) leading the charge.
In response, Fountainheads openers Gaurish Shenvi Lotliker (29) and Gaurish Prabhudesai (33) laid a solid foundation. Arsh Sardesai’s explosive 40 off 14 balls sealed the chase in 15.3 overs, as they finished on 183 for 4 to earn a bonus point. Sardesai was adjudged Man of the Match.
