Paintings and photos not only enhance the aura and the beauty of the room but also bring forth the undercurrents of the energies in the house.
North, North-East and the East direction should always be open and light without any heaviness. Secondly, the North-East is the corner where the water element reigns supreme. So, pictures and paintings that depict the images or idols of Gods and Goddesses are best suited in these directions. One can also have paintings or pictures of water sources, especially in the North-East direction. But it must be remembered that no mountains or rocks are visible in those paintings. Picture of the rising sun in the East direction of the house on the eastern wall can help in the inflow of positive energies.
South-East direction is associated with the fire element. This direction is also considered best for the ladies of the house. So, if there is a living room or a bedroom here, then paintings of smiling and happy females can be displayed. If any painting has more red, then such paintings can be used in the South-East or South direction of the house.
South-West direction is associated with the Earth element, so anything that depicts heaviness such as huge mountains, tall buildings, or the Rocky Mountains are best suited in this corner. If one derives any inspiration from any famous personalities then their photos or painting can be displayed in the South-West direction in the office.
Family photos or photos of the living persons of the family should be on the West wall or in the West direction so that they are facing towards the Eastern side.
Because of the air element factor in the North-West, pictures of flying birds, aeroplanes taking off or moving clouds can occupy space in this direction. In a commercial place, pictures of promotional products should be hanged there. This will help in getting a positive customer response.

There should never be Gods pictures in the bedroom. Photos of family members who have departed into the unknown world should never be hanged in the bedroom or the prayer room. Such photos are best suited on the Northern wall facing the South direction.
