Officials of the tourism department were present at the cruise berth terminal to receive the guests and they were given a warm and traditional Goan welcome. Goan folk dances and music with a live brass band was in attendance at the cruise terminal.

The cruise liner is scheduled for an overnight stay at the port during which time the visiting guests will explore the scenic beauty of Goa and patronize the commercial outlets, experience Goan cuisine and visit the famous tourists’ locations in North and South Goa.

This is the first cruise ship this season which is having an overnight halt at the port and this will augur well for accruing higher economic benefits to the tourism sector including the tourists taxi and luxury coach operators, the press note added.
