VASCO: The Canadian Navy ship 'HMCS Winnipeg' is on a visit to Goa from January 7 to 10.

'HMCS Winnipeg is Halifax class frigate of the Canadian Navy. The ship is commanded by Commander Pascal Belhumeur and is currently berthed at MPT.

The ship is manned by 260 personnel, comprising 30 officers and 230 sailors.

There were a series of professional and other formal interactions between the ship’s crew and officers and sailors of the Goa Naval area.

Rear Admiral Gilles Couterier, OMM, CD, Commander Maritime Forces Pacific of the Royal Canadian Navy also visited Goa during the same period.
