LPG delivery boy booked for ₹3.27 lakh cheating in Colva

The Colva police have registered a FIR against a LPG delivery boy after he induced gullible customers to pay online payment for booking of cylinders into his personal bank account and cheating them to the tune of Rs 3.27 lakh.

Acting on a complaint received from Leisha Pimenta, a resident of Seraulim, the police have registered the FIR against the accused persons Vishanaram Pooniya, a native of Jodhpur-Rajasthan, who was employed as a delivery body by a Salcete based gas agency.

Police claimed that the accused dishonestly induced different customers to pay online payment into his personal bank account with the knowledge that he is likely to cause wrongful loss to complainant and collected an amount of Rs. 3,27,129/- from different customers.

Police said the accused failed to deposit the amount into the complainant’s bank account thereby cheated the complainant and committed criminal breach of trust. A case under section 318(3), 316(4) BNS 2023 stands registered against the accused person.
