Panaji: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), through its Goa State Council, has welcomed the introduction of the Goa Transport Aggregator Guidelines 2025 by the state government and called for transparent implementation of the same.
In a statement, ASSOCHAM urged private stakeholders—including aggregators, entrepreneurs, and transport operators—to work together to develop a modern mobility ecosystem that will help position Goa as a dynamic and investment-ready state.
Describing the guidelines as a balanced move, ASSOCHAM said the initiative aligns the State’s transport sector with digital innovation while promoting socio-economic inclusion. It emphasised that technology-enabled mobility systems are key to improving productivity, enabling trade, and enhancing the ease of doing business.
Dr Sagar Salgaocar, Co-Chairman of ASSOCHAM’s Goa Council, stated that regulated app-based taxi services would boost workforce mobility, streamline logistics, and improve access to business hubs across Goa. “Improved transport connectivity will also strengthen links between urban and peri-urban areas, promoting regional development and opening new areas for commercial investment,” he added.
