MARGAO : A two-day national conference on mediation is being held at the IULER Auditorium, Sancoale, on December 26 and 27 by the Bar Council of India and the Bar Council of India Trust ‘Pearl First’, in collaboration with IULER, Goa.
The conference was held on the theme ‘Mediation: How far significant in the present-day context’ and was attended by Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant, along with Supreme Court judges Justices J K Maheshwari, B V Nagarathna, Prashant Kumar Mishra, Ujjal Bhuyan, N Kotiswar Singh and Vipul Manubhai Pancholi. Senior advocate and MP Manna Kumar Mishra was also present.
Over 40 High Court judges participated. Topics included the Mediation Act 2023, court-annexed centres and online dispute resolution.
