Goan folk artists showcase traditional dances at Bharat Parv

PANAJI: As part of Bharat Parv 2026, the third day of the festival showcased Goa’s rich folk heritage through a colourful performance on the main stage, drawing strong appreciation from visitors. Traditional folk artists from Curti and Kelbai in Goa, led by Dinesh Priolkar, presented popular Goan art forms such as Kalashi Fugdi, Jagar, Dekhni and the warrior dance Ghode Modni.  

The performances highlighted the State’s cultural diversity, ritual practices and martial traditions. The programme was choreographed by Avani Khedekar, while music was composed and directed by Dr Saish Deshpande. The artists received loud applause for their costumes, rhythm and authentic presentation, effectively promoting Goa’s folk traditions at the national event.
