PANAJI: A two-day memorial music festival will be held at Institute Menezes Braganza Hall on September 20 and 21 to pay tribute to late maestros Pt Prabhakar Chari and sitarist Pt Yograj Naik.
Organised by Pt Prabhakar Chari Pratisthan and Swar Sanskruti Music Academy, the festival will feature leading artistes from across India showcasing Hindustani classical music. Performances will include vocal and instrumental recitals, percussion ensembles, sitar presentations, and dance.
Pt Ravi Chary, son and disciple of Pt Prabhakar Chari, said the event also aims to highlight Goa’s living tradition of Hindustani classical music and share it with wider audiences.
