From ‘culture’ to ‘climate’, ‘forest fires’ to ‘fish thalis’ and our ‘society’ to the ‘susegad’ way of life, the Youth Unconference not only united Goans from different walks of life but also engaged young minds in reimagining the path toward Viksit Goa 2047. Held on September 14 - organized by ActforGoa and Circlewallas as a tribute to the Climate Week of India- the Youth Unconference acted as a safe environment, nurturing a wealth of innovative ideas for preserving Goa’s past, appreciating its present, and shaping goals for its future. A forum where the youth took charge of brainstorming sessions, structured discussions, and constructive criticism of policies, the Unconference personified the epitome of what young people are capable of, and how they can safeguard Goa’s environment and culture. With attendees spanning from Margao to Mapusa, it reflected the many facets of Goa, serving as a bridge for diverse ideas and lived experiences.
