The members of St Christopher Sports Club were honoured for bringing laurels to State and nation.
MAPUSA: The 60th anniversary of St Christopher Sports Club, Tivim was recently celebrated with a get-together and memento presentation in Tivim. The programme commenced with a prayer service led by Fr Mariano Silveira, the Parish Priest of Tivim Church, and Fr Seby, the Parish Priest of Sirsaim Church.
The club president, Raymond Menezes welcomed the gathering, followed by a speech from senior member Robert Colaco, who recounted the club’s 60-year journey. He highlighted various events, sports, cultural activities, and the challenges the club has faced.
In recognition of their contributions, mementos were presented to the senior founder members. Members who represented the state and country, along with upcoming members, were also honoured with mementos. The presentations were made by Fr Mariano, Fr Seby and Venkatesh Shirodkar, the Sarpanch of Tivim Panchayat. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by senior member Assumption D’Souza.
