MARGAO: Vidya Vikas Mandal, Margao, celebrated its 55th Founders’ Day on August 4, with former Goa State Information Commissioner, writer and journalist Sanjay Dhavalikar as the chief guest. The event was presided over by Mandal president Nitin Kunkolienker.
In his address, Dhavalikar congratulated the founder members and awardees, describing the Mandal as a pioneer educational institution that has produced leaders and influencers across fields. He praised the integrated campus layout and lauded teachers for their role in shaping future citizens by imparting quality education, values, and critical thinking skills.
Retired staff, PhD awardee faculty, and distinguished alumni were felicitated on the occasion. Founder members CA Uttam Bene, Ganesh Daivajna, and CA Sheela Gaunekar attended the event along with faculty, staff, and students.
