MARGAO
The Civic felicitation of noted Konkani writer, Damodar Mauzo, on being bestowed the prestigious Dnyanpeeth Award for the year 2022, will be held on May 7 at Ravindra Bhavan in Margao. The function will be held at 4.30 pm.
Senior Journalist and Director of The Hindu Publishing Group, N Ram will be the chief guest for the function. Senior Writer, Adv Uday Bhembre, Writer and Translator, Jose Lourenco and Director of Higher Education, Prasad Lolienkar will speak on Damodar Mauzo at the occasion.
The programme was to be held in January however it had to be postponed due to Covid restrictions. The same will now be held on May 7. The organisers have appealed to everyone to attend the function and witness this proud moment.
