Apostolic Nuncio to India and Nepal, Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, commended the "exceptionally praiseworthy work of art and presentation of the culture and architecture of Goa's bygone days" during his visit to Ancestral Goa, the Big Foot, in Loutolim. Accompanying the Archbishop were Msgr Ilario, Fr Giuseppe Locatelli, Fr Stephen Fernandes, Sr Luiza Fernandes, and Sr Isabel De Souza. Their tour was guided by Maendra Alvares, the renowned sculptor behind India's longest laterite sculpture, Sant Mirabai. This visit highlights the rich cultural heritage preserved at Ancestral Goa, offering visitors a glimpse into the artistic and architectural marvels of Goa's history.
