Students of Std VI and IX gained hands-on experience in traditional rice cultivation.
CURTORIM: St Xavier’s Institute, Curtorim organised an educational paddy field trip for students of Std VI and IX to give them practical exposure to agriculture. The visit took place at a field in Maina Curtorim, where students observed and participated in the transplantation of paddy crops.
Headmistress Melania G. Da Costa e Vas, along with teachers Santana Galdinho, Gretina Azavedo, Abigail Rodrigues and Mathew Fernandes, accompanied the group. Local farmers guided the students through the stages of paddy cultivation, including planting of saplings.
