PANAJI: The St. Michael Parish Women’s Cell, Taleigao, organised a spiritual and empowering programme titled In Her Steps – Walking Advent with Mary on December 14 at the church premises. The highlight was a talk by Elaine Dias, mental health counsellor and Diocesan Women’s Commission coordinator, who stressed self-love, inner well-being, and spiritual preparation for Christmas.
She highlighted the balance between self-care and service to others. Assistant Parish Priest Fr Socorro Rebello urged women to practise patience, silence, and prayer, drawing inspiration from Mother Mary. Ninfa Da Silva encouraged more women to join the Women’s Cell. The programme also featured skill-based workshops on chocolate making, Italian bread, donuts, and sandwich preparation, which were well received. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sr Hilda Braganza.
