PANAJI: The Patrocin Boyz Charitable Trust has announced a plan to upgrade facilities for senior citizens, aiming to improve care, support and overall wellbeing of the elderly in the community. As part of the initiative, the Trust will create recreational spaces and provide essential equipment such as wheelchairs and fowler beds for the sick and infirm. A hearse van fitted with morgue essentials is also included in the proposal.
The project will be unveiled at an awareness programme, “Muzgachea Nadar 5 – A Charitable Evening for a Noble Cause”, scheduled for April 29 in Benaulim. The event will feature performances by bands 7 Notes and Gravity, along with several singers and artistes. Organisers said the facility will focus on dignity, independence and companionship, with expert supervision, safe environments and support for managing chronic conditions among senior citizens.
