MARGAO: Madganvcho Awaaz and youth leader Prabhav Naik on Wednesday announced a contribution of Rs 1,11,111 to the ‘Enough is Enough’ movement on World Earth Day.
The movement, led by Justice Ferdino Rebello, focuses on concerns over unregulated development and environmental issues in Goa. Madganvcho Awaaz said it supports the aim of protecting the State’s natural and cultural heritage.
Naik had earlier met Justice Rebello to express support and discuss the need for citizen involvement. Members of the group have also attended meetings held in Panaji and Margao.
Naik said the organisation has raised issues related to governance, public interest, and the environment in Margao and beyond. He added that he took part in the Mirabag protest and a Mashal Rally linked to the movement.
