World Earth Day, an annual event observed across the globe to demonstrate support for environmental protection, took place this year under the theme 'Planet V/s Plastic'. At Big Foot in Loutolim, various activities in the form of games were organized to raise awareness. Students from Mustifund, Panaji, visiting guests to the premises and notable individuals like Paipra Radhakrishnan, Ex-Secretary of Kerala Sahitya Academy, Madanan, renowned artist from Matrubhumi Publications, and Pachu Menon, columnist and author, actively participated. "This initiative aimed to draw attention and raise awareness about the serious issue of plastic pollution and its detrimental effects on nature. We must remember that our ancestors left us a world they believed to be good. It is our responsibility to pass on a healed and wholesome planet to future generations," remarked Maendra Alvares, the visionary behind Big Foot.
