The Kuddchoddem-Sanvordem Konkani Kendr (KSKK) will felicitate Fr Vital Miranda, parish priest of Guardian Angel Church, Curchorem, at the Ravindra Bhavan auditorium, Curchorem, on Sunday.
President of Dalgado Konknni Akademy (DKA) Celso Fernandes will be the chief guest and a book written by Edvin Fernandes ‘Padr Vital Miranda Jivit and Vaur’ will be released on the occasion.
According to KSKK President Anthony Menezes, Fr Miranda completes 30 years of his priestly ordination this year.
“As a priest, Fr Miranda has rendered yeoman services for the last 30 years, including seven years in Curchorem,” said Menezes.
“He has also worked for the upliftment of Konkani language in various forms. During his youth days, he wrote many Konkani poems, many of which were published by Konkani editions then including Vauradiancho Ixtt. He still continues writing articles, many of which are published in church bulletins.”
