CANACONA
The Goa Forward Party (GFP) has constituted Canacona Block Committee along with representatives for Canacona municipality and six village panchayats of Canacona constituency. The newly appointed block committee members and panchayat/municipality heads of Goa Forward Party for Canacona constituency were announced at a press briefing addressed by GFP leaders Mohandas Lolayekar, Durgadas Kamat, Prashant Naik and Vikas Bhagat at Canacona on Saturday. GFP General Secretary (Org) Durgadas Kamat informed that party president Vijay Sardessai has approved the constitution of Canacona Block Committee with Datta Gaonkar, ex-sarpanch of Shristhal panchayat as the President of the Canacona block. The other committee members comprise Guru Bandekar (Vice-President), Remmy Borges (General Secretary), Umesh Tubki (Treasurer), Jayesh Naik (Jt. Secretary), and Sulesh Pagi, Imtiyaz Shaikh, Surekha Bandekar, Laxman Gaonkar, Ganesh Dhuri (Exec. Committee Members). The GFP municipality/panchayat incharges consist of Ajay Pagi (Canacona municipality), Tejan Mudkudkar (Agonda), Dashrath Gaonkar (Shristhal), Sandesh Velip (Gaondongrim), Sudhakar Velip (Khotigao), Lloyd Godinho (Poinguinim), and Seabest Fernandes (Loliem-Polem).
