MARGAO: Goa Police secured a stylish 3-0 win against Cuncolim Union in the GFA First Division League, at SAG Trinity ground, Benaulim, on Wednesday.
Both the teams started the game in attacking fashion and had equal number of scoring chances but their forwards faltered.
Cops took charge after change of ends, orchestrating a well-executed build up that resulted in a 50th-minute lead. Shubham Shireaikar's precise threaded shot crashed into the net. Cuncolim Union Tyron Carvalho was given marching orders by referee in the 61st minute. Mayuresh Naik doubled the lead in the 80th minute. Kunal Salgaocar drove the last nail into rival coffin in the stoppage time.
