PANAJI: The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Goa University and the Goa State Biodiversity Board was signed on May 8, 2025, in the presence of Prof. S. N. Dhuri, Registrar, Goa University; Dr. Pradip Sarmokadam, Member Secretary, Goa State Biodiversity Board; Prof. Pranab Mukhopadhyay, Vice Dean, Goa Business School; and Shashikant Morajkar, Assistant Registrar, Public Relations, Goa University.
Under this MoU, Goa University (GU) will assist the Goa State Biodiversity Board (GSBB) in conducting various training programmes, seminars, awareness drives, rallies, street plays, and other activities through its Biodiversity Cell. GU will also provide advisory support in the valuation of ecosystem services and biodiversity to the GSBB.
The Goa State Biodiversity Board, on the other hand, will provide all types of support to the programmes organised by GU, as well as share knowledge and expertise, and also assist the teachers and students of GU in conducting empirical research in the field of biodiversity.
