PANAJI: The Catholic community at Housing Board, Borda–Margao, gathered on May 2 for the blessing and inauguration of the newly built Holy Family Chapel. The ceremony was led by Auxiliary Bishop of Goa and Daman, Most Rev. Simião Purificação Fernandes, who unveiled a commemorative plaque and presided over the Eucharistic celebration.
A large number of parishioners, clergy, and benefactors attended the event. Fr. Simon D’Cunha expressed gratitude to key contributors, including Fr. Jovial Fernandes, Engineer Pascoal Noronha, and chapel president Cipriano Desouza, for their roles in bringing the long-awaited project to life.
