Collem police seized approximately 40.39 litres of liquor worth Rs 19,644 near the Collem railway station on Sunday night. The Collem police later handed over the confiscated liquor to officials of the excise department at Sanguem on Monday after conducting a panchnama. According to information, a Collem police team was patrolling near the railway station on Sunday night when they found a liquor stock near railway station. An unknown person was in the process of transporting the liquor by rail. Police found a total of 68 different types of liquor bottles.
