The book launch of ‘The Twisted Child - Tales of the Unexpected,’ a collection of twelve short stories set in Goa and authored by Mario Coelho was held at Broadway Book Store recently. There was an animated panel discussion on ‘The Art & Craft of the Short Story’, involving three Goan short story writers, Sheela Jaywant, Bina Nayak, José Lourenço and novelist, Mario Coelho. The discussion was moderated by Tino D'Sa. Around 40 fans of the short story genre attended the launch. A book reading cum spooky fest was held on February 6 at Miramar, which hosted The Twisted Experience that was attended by around 25 readers and fans. More book readings and panel discussions centred around the short story genre in general and The Twisted Child in particular, are planned in February at The Goa Arts & Literary Festival (GALF) 2026 at International Centre Goa at Dona Paula as well as at The Dogears Bookshop in Margão and Carpe Diem at Majorda.
