MARGAO: Sao Jose de Areal SC scored solitary goal victory over Margao Sports Club to cruise into the quarter-finals of the Coutinho Family Cup inter-village football tournament, organised by Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado in association with Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim school playground, Cuncolim on Monday.
The all important goal of the match was netted by Aaron Endro off a pass from Rayman Fernandes.
In the second session – for Areal SC Aryan Carvalho, Ashnoy Gomes and Stalen Oliveira while Roque Borges, Wedley Barreto and Rahul Sharma missed scoring chances for Margao SC. Goalkeeper of Areal SC Joseph Monteiro was adjudged as man of the match.
