CANACONA
A youth got electrocuted during welding work at a religious place in Palolem on Saturday afternoon. According to reports, Nagesh Lingappa Lamani, a native of Gadag-Karnataka, was reportedly working at a workshop in Canacona. He was undertaking some welding work when he came in contact with live current and got electrocuted at the working site.
Lamani was rushed to the Canacona Community Health Centre, where he was declared dead on arrival. As news spread of the electrocution of the youth, several migrants assembled outside the CHC. Canacona police are investigating the incident.
